All-Inside PCL Reconstruction Using a Quadriceps Tendon Autograft
Kendall Hamilton, MD (Grand Rapids, MI), demonstrates an arthroscopic, single-bundle, bone quadriceps tendon (BQT) autograft PCL reconstruction using the InternalBrace™ technique. Dr. Hamilton prepares the femoral side of the graft using the BTB TightRope® II implant loaded with FiberTape® suture and the tibial end of the graft using the FiberTag® TightRope ABS implant. The FlipCutter® III drill and RetroConstruction™ PCL guides are used to create femoral and tibial sockets.
The InternalBrace surgical technique is intended only to augment the primary repair/reconstruction by expanding the area of tissue approximation during the healing period and is not intended as a replacement for the native ligament. The InternalBrace technique is for use during soft tissue-to-bone fixation procedures and is not cleared for bone-to-bone fixation.
