A extração pode ser feita com segurança e reprodutibilidade tanto com a abordagem anterior tradicional quanto com a abordagem posterior, usando a técnica de extração de jarrete minimamente invasiva e extratores de tensão especializados. 
 
A estação de preparo de enxerto da Arthrex tem uma variedade de grampos e colunas intercambiáveis que facilitam o tensionamento e sutura do tecido. 
 
O preparo do enxerto revolucionou com a linha de suturas FiberLoop® e a técnica SpeedWhip. As alça contínuas de sutura nº 2 ou nº 0 e as agulhas curvas e retas de flutuação livre possibilitam a sutura reprodutível do enxerto em metade do tempo das suturas retas tradicionais.
