The Suture Cutters were designed to facilitate arthroscopic cutting of FiberWire and braided suture. The uniquely designed cutting jaws remain sharp throughout repeated use. The Suture Cutters are&nbsp;available in a closed and open end, left notch version. The closed end Suture Cutter allows the surgeon to leave a 3 mm suture tail without the possibility of cutting the knot. The open end, left notch version facilitates suture cutting inside the joint without having to top load the cutter. The FiberTape Cutter was designed to allow for flush cutting of two FiberTapes.

Procedure

The CuffMend system provides an efficient, simplified approach for augmenting partial- and full-thickness rotator cuff tears. The system employs the benefits of a thick ArthroFlex dermal allograft, which provides mechanical strength and supports healing.1,2&nbsp;Introduce the graft using the graft spreader and use the FiberStitch™ RC implant for medial soft-tissue fixation to the rotator cuff tendon. Use self-punching PushLock®&nbsp;anchors, spanning the graft over the tuberosity footprint, for lateral bony fixation. Implantation of the CuffMend system is designed to be completed in less than 10 minutes. Scientific literature supports the use of acellular dermal grafts as a safe and effective solution for rotator cuff augmentation.3

For surgeons who want to transition from tenotomy to a quick arthroscopic technique, it is an excellent option for using existing portal placement while viewing familiar anatomy. This straightforward surgical approach helps minimize the potential for cramping or cosmetic "Popeye" deformity, which is often associated with tenotomy.1
