Segmental Meniscus Transplant

The segmental meniscus transplant technique addresses failed repair of the meniscus while avoiding total replacement. Patients who have irreparable defects can benefit from a partial replacement, completed using the segmental meniscus transplant technique, which provides the same tibiofemoral joint compartment biomechanics as an intact meniscus.^1-3 This technique helps preserve the native biomechanical loading principles of the knee while keeping intact native hoop fibers.
