CMC Mini TightRope^® Fixation System

The Mini TightRope fixation system provides a unique means to suspend the thumb metacarpal and can be used after trapezial resection or removal for treatment of CMC arthritis or thumb CMC instability, and in case of revision with proximal migration after failed tendon reconstruction.

The Mini TightRope implant supports and maintains the thumb and index metacarpals in proper relation while allowing for healing and scar tissue formation in the trapezial space.

The construction consists of 2 strands of #2 FiberWire^® that are fixed with 2 oblong stainless steel buttons for cortical fixation.

The trapezial space may be left empty or filled with an allograft "anchovy" spacer.
