ACL Primary Repair Using the SwiveLock® ACL Repair Implant System

Gregory S. DiFelice, MD (New York, NY), demonstrates an anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) primary repair using the SwiveLock® ACL repair implant system. In biomechanical testing, the SwiveLock ACL repair technique has been shown to provide comparable knee stability to bone-patellar tendon-bone (BTB) autograft ACL reconstruction techniques.¹ Clinically, outcomes of remnant-preserving ACL surgery have shown encouraging results with a higher potential for early healing and better functional outcomes compared with reconstruction surgery.2,3
